US Fish and Wildlife Cancels Waterfowl Breeding Population and Habitat Survey

For the first time in 65 years, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Canadian Wildlife Service have canceled their annual joint Waterfowl Breeding Population and Habitat Survey. The cancelation is due to concern over the current Coronavirus restrictions.

Absolutely! I'm thinking this is more about cutting expenses than anything. This probably guarantees a 1 bird limit on pintail for the 2021/2022 season also as they're going to base regs on estimates of the long term averages.

This makes no sense, total BS. As previously said it’s done mostly by airplane. The virus should have zero effect on doing the survey. Regs and limits will be based on who knows what. I think we can expect low bag limits.

Yes BS!!! , I'm not getting my hopes up to high for this coming up season, Next the Sacramento jug heads will not open Refuges due to the Corona , budget cuts they will say. This whole Deal just opened the door for these idiots to take more away from the sportsmen!!!
