San Filipe Wildlife area and hunting in Julian

I went to San Filipe a couple of weeks ago for the first time and did not have much luck finding any birds but did see a lot of coyote sign. I also talked to some fellow hunters and they struck out as well. Just too dry out there. I heard of some areas near Julian were you can access the Cleveland National forest. Just gotta get off my butt and get a map. Any suggestions that you guys might have would be great. I know your secret spots are called secret for a reason so any general areas would be great. Thanks!

You could always go to the Turkey Tune-up on the 22nd. I haven't been to one for several years but they use to be a great place for information from the DFW and local biologists...
