That's one of the reasons I would gut, to check the liver. I once got one that looked real bad, had a liver that looked more sketchy than David Hasselhoff's. I left it for the yotes. But I've been told it doesn't matter, u can cook it out. Maybe someone else has more wisdom.MJB said:You guys don't check the liver for spots?
Good points. Forgot about tularemia. I looked on several sources and here is what I picked up: white or light spots on the liver are a good way to confirm the disease.
