Hello all. I am new to this forum, but not completely new to hunting. I've been preparing for this deer season for 3 years. Joined a Sportsman's Club, read many books and magazines, searched the internet extensively, watched a lot of hunting programs and YouTube videos, etc. I do a lot of shooting, including Sporting Clays. I've also been coyote hunting a few times. It's taken me a couple of years to acquire all of the necessary gear as well. This year some of my buddies and I drew tags for a group hunt in X9c. Yes, I know, it was incredibly lucky of us to get that tag, since none of us have any preference points. Long story short, we spend the first 4 days of the season (last weekend) up there and didn't see a thing. We'll try again Halloween weekend. In the meantime, I also have a D zone tag and I'm learning about this area as well.

Good luck to everyone on this years hunt.

Welcome red hub. Good luck next weekend. Looking forward to your report.

rh1,

Welcome to SCH......There's a reason you drew X9C without points......Tough area to hunt......Good luck on your deer hunting trips.....You just may find out your D zone tag is better...... ;)
