Lake Elsinore
Hello SCH!!

My name is keith or you can call me Stixx.
I'm a new hunter in the IE looking for Family friendly people to learn from. I come from a non hunting family but have always been pro gun. I have recently completed my first AR build with some help from a friend. Any ways I'm looking into coyote and pig hunting. I know my 556 won't do much for a pig but I'm looking at getting a bigger cal upper in the next few months.
Any ways would love to learn as much as I can and learn the areas around my beautiful city.
Anyone down to meet up and hang just let me know. I'm also interested in competition AR tactical style shooting as well. Really anything that can get me out side learning something teaching my kids something is all was great.
Have a good night everyone!

Welcome.......It will do the job but it's not the best choice.......CG goes thru this debate monthly

No debate from me. It's not the best option but I've never lost one to it. Shot small and get closer
Welcome another hunter in any event. Good to see new guys with family willing to out and hunt and get kids involved.

Thanks guys I can use all the help I can get!!
This forum is great!! And that's due to all the people on here so willing to help out us newbies!!

Hear is a not so great shot of my AR incase anyone was interested!
I would like to thank Dave from TPM Arms for helping me out with my AR.
Thanks
Keith

Nice AR. I have a similar style slim quad rail handguard minus the keyholes. Do u know of or use any grip attachments that fit that inset portion of the upper? I've been looking but haven't found anything close.

i find having rails on the bottom just scratches the door on my truck....

welcome to the site..... i am down for a 556 vs 300 win mag thread lets get it started!!! : )

I spoke with Dave at TPM today. He showed me his new gas blocks. Dave is a guy who is still learning (fast learner) and is always willing to help out. We have been buying his bullet buttons for some time now. I liked his trigger demo blocks too.

Dave is the best! It's always a four hour trip because we talk so much! I had my first job at the shop he shared with a different guy. I worked for the other guy. Then when the other guy baled I worked for Dave. I think I have help him move into like 3 different shops and even in to one home. We go back. Great guy! I know that there are people that might know more about guns and ARs then Dave but he is the only one I'm going to! He backs up everything he does and if there is an issue he always fixes it.

As far as a had guard I have not looked and I don't feel like I need one. Maybe a light on the front that's about it!
Thanks guys for kind words about my AR. It's a work in progress. I'm hoping with my next paycheck I can get some real optics.
