I saw sparks twice while Shooting steel at quail and rabbits the other day. Is it the state’s devious strategy to cause brush fires by forcing the use of steel, and use the fires as a reason to further restrict or outright ban hunting in California?

Sure why not. Full metal jacket does the same and it's ban on BLM.

I wouldn't put it past them. At the trap range I shoot at, they'll kick you off if you shoot steel because of the fire risk, so I can't imagine CA not having any fire concerns either. Like all things that liberals hate, they'll chip away at it slowly but methodically until we wake up one day and realize what we've lost. Oh, but it's usually done in the name of "progress" and being "on the right side of history." Sorry for the rant.

And then they f*ckin' wonder why certain individuals come along that, when confronted with these dilemmas, weigh the pros and cons, and decide to take it upon themselves to do the rest of us a favor and lay waste to as many of these mofos as they can before they get taken out by a SWAT sniper.

And afterward... they have the audacity to look at the shooters motivations, and call him "sick".

I’ve been asking the same thing for 3 years. Next they will use that to ban hunting due to fire danger.
