Lake Hodges to release 900 million gallons

San Diego County has the worst water shed system. No way to pump to other place and going to release 900 million gallons of water. WTH.

California and more specifically San Diego has terrible infrastructure. Along with pumping water from the Colorado River we could also pump the excess of rain water to other lakes up hill. It pisses me off. Go check in Israel how they manage their water. It is like gold there. Here... We dump it into the ocean...

If I remenber correctly a pipeline was built from Hodges to another resevoir in Olivenhain years ago so that they could transfer when it got full. maybe the one in Olivenhain is at capacity.

BULL $HIT!....These dams have been solid for 80 years...Some friggin' engineer/politician/water district guy comes in and says the dam can't take a 6.5 earthquake...WTF!...This has to do with water quality, money, and not wanting the trees or brush in the water...The water was just fine for the 1st 80!

Guess it's time to build another pipeline instead of letting water go !!!!!!!!!!! Maybe we could take millions of dollars to fix out infrastructure instead of being a freaking santuary state

In terms of dams, Oroville is fairly new...The spillway was the problem...Hodges and most the other old dams (including Henshaw) have never had a breech.

Water is God in SoCal...Fishing and other water activities are far down the priority list.

Am I crazy or do I remember when I was little, Hodges used to span both sides of the 15.. I distinctly remember there being quite a bit of lake on the east side of the freeway. But now they can't hold all that water when we are supposedly still in a drought?
