I had a small window of time yesterday after some work in the IE so I did a short rabbit hunt before dusk at San Jacinto. Hadn't hunted there in a long time because it seemed like the drought had hit the bunnies really hard. I found a decent volume of rabbits in heavily grown, very thick brush. Shotgun only at San Jac, and it was called for anyway. Of course I missed the one easy shot I was presented with
Dove fields looked good and I would rate dove volume about a Cplus with three weeks to go.
For being so rare and protected I sure am seeing a lot of Reds lately. This one I spotted 10 feet away and he was agitated from the moment I saw him. Buzzing and coiling to strike, menacing for sure.

Later i nearly stepped right in front of this fatty's face:

Made a couple of decent shots late and finished with a couple of critters for the dinner table.
Good luck everyone!
