This has been the worst year I've ever experienced at Wister and the numbers prove it for most everyone else too.....My saving grace has been my friends duck club all season.....Start at Wister get nothing much, then go to his club and get a limit.....Yesterday the good Dr. was out of town, so it was Wister all day.....Dark to dark....4 ducks with friend Phil by 9:00 am and that was it for the WHOLE day in one of the historically best blinds.....Brutally slow and after 12:30 pm, SAW, that's SAW, a grand total of 3 ducks!
The good of the trip was I got to hunt Woodland Pheasant Club on Tuesday afternoon and got 2 fine roosters (birds that turned wild) with Cal and his dog Louis.....Really nice set-up Mendel has created.....No different than hunting wild birds anywhere.
