Not sure if anyone is interested in building their own rods... thought I'd give it a try here. Maybe trade for an Avet reel...
I am selling my rod lathe that I made myself. It has a Pac Bay chuck with variable speed pedal. Four adjustable rod support stands with ball bearing wheels and custom stainless rail. 10 foot long x 24" formica table. Custom 10 foot long sheet metal light hood, powder coated with two 6 foot florescent bulbs for great lighting. Comes with "L" brackets to mount the table to a wall. The only thing this lathe does not have is a thread carriage. I've been wrapping for over 40 years and wrap old school with no carriage. If you're handy you could easily mount a commercial thread carriage to this.
I moved to Arizona and no longer have a man cave to house this clean lathe. I'm asking $300, delivered to So Cal. It's sitting in a storage locker waiting for a new owner. Ed F [email protected]
