Since we are all talking turkey right now, what type of broadheads do you guys use for them. I've seen some the are used to decapited and some for a body hit. What do you recommend? Mods if this is not the right place please move as needed. Thanks

Mario

those magnus bullhead headshots videos are awsome most of those shots were between 8 and 15 yards in a ground blind

Broad head selection is not as important as shot placement. They have very small vitals and a lot of grey area. I won't even take a body shots any more because I have watched so many birds walk away from a solid hit. Ive had them flip and hit the ground flopping around and then shake it off and walk away never to be seen again. So I will only take a head or neck shot. My preferred head is the Grim Reaper for turkeys.

I use the magnus or gobbler guillotine broad head. You really have to practice with the guillotine and use the arrow they recommend. Nice thing is it's either you kill one or miss one.

I've never shot a turkey with a bow, but some of the boys have......They all used regular Rage broadheads......Only one of the birds died close by.....This guy flew over a 100 yds, before we found it.

Apparently something else found it first?

Nope........It flew just like that with the arrow in it........In fact, it was still alive when I found it hiding in a berry briar.
