Me and my friend went out to CJ strike resivoir to do some trolling for trout for the smoker and to use some as sturgeon bait. I was able to land 5 trout and my buddy reeled in 4 after a little over an hr of trolling.
We headed down below the resivoir to the Snake River to do a little waterfowling before it got dark. The river was a lot lower then the last time I was out there and birds were flying high. Had 1 come into the decoys but I think I took empty shells because I missed 3 shots lol
Once it got dark we headed to our spot and tossed in some fresh trout and waited. After about 30-45 min one of the rods went off and I set the hook and the fight was on! Fought it from the bank and felt like with one wrong step that fish coulda dragged me in. Super fun to fight and after 15-20 minutes we got eyes on it and worked it to the bank. Not as big as my first one but still a giant 6' 10" Snake River white sturgeon .

Also smoked some of the trout along with some cream cheese and made some Smoked Trout Dip!
