The ubiquitous San Diego Gophersnake. That's a fatty! Nice colors too. Love snakes, hardly see any but buzztails around the OC anymore.

Yeah he survived. If he was a rattler he would be dead. Brought the food in and watched him for a bit till he left the yard.

Rad snake. Love seeing those. Saw this one out crossing the road in Pine Valley a few weeks back.

I have almost stepped on a few in the field, nearly jump out of my skin each time thinking it's a rattler.

Awesome. I haven't seen one yet in CO, but they are here. Chased a plains garter snake around our property yesterday with my son.

Those are some pretty good sized gophers! Haven't seen a big one in a while.
