Application Approaching for San Diego County Dove Hunt

To think the ranch that I hunted for many years and had written permission to do so is now a "draw to hunt" area now. Thats the old Daley Ranch and it had some of the most epic dove hunting around....I will even step out and say it was better then the Imperial Valley!!!! There was always some sort of farm crop growing for feed for the cattle and horses along with about a half dozen water sources that always had kept the birds around. It was always nice to be told when I dove hunted out there, to go to the big ranch house with the birds to be cooked for dinner that day. Mrs Daley did not want us to clean the birds at all because she wanted to do it "her way" only! She would pluck and clean those things whole even if there was three or four limits. Dinner at the Daley Ranch (especially after a dove hunt) was always amazing and one heck of an event every time and I will always cherish those memories!!
