That's good to know. I skinned the buck all the way back to the hind legs and I was concerned it would have enough hide. But I did see some mounts that had the tail and made wish I would have just kept everything.

How much hide is needed? I'm sure if you could get the whole hide would be better but what would a minimum required to make it look decent?

There are areas you can get far enough from people without seeing no one, you just have to do your research and study maps (topo or aerial) to figure how to get to them.

They are still out there. I started scouting the unit in 2021 and my trail cams have captured some great animals. I only see them show up during certain time of the year and disappear but I'm still trying to figure where they are during the hunting season.
