We all agree about those bafoons being yoyos. They are the ones that make all of us look bad. I agree other than the thread jack, sorry, the discussion is a good one.

When you get on a pig in Texas there are usually 30 of his closest friends. And the shooting lanes can be pretty narrow so if you have a bolt action you're going home with A pig. If you have a semi auto you're going home with several pigs. Or of course to shoot the random charging pigs, which...
This goes down to poor equipment purchase or maintenance. Like the guy that buys a $1000 rifle and $150 scope. Simple as that.
Adrenaline and no recoil felt is great for younger guys but when you start getting a lot older the recoil is felt for days and bones just can't take it anymore.
I...
The product is guaranteed to do the work not the shooters ability. No one can guarantee the shooters ability especially if they don't train. When we have customers show up to the ranch to hunt the first thing we do is have them check zero. Several guys haven't touched their rifle since last...
This is an old way of thinking. Youre thinking only 223, which is common. ARs or Modern Sporting Rifles (MSRs) use lots of other calipers now and there are companies out there that guarantee sub MOA accuracy out of their MSRs. For example the 6.8 SPC II will still have complete low opening...
Another thread, agreed. Don't want to derail this one. Most my kills are one shot DRT, 6.8 not .223.
Oh yeah that's bad! Hopefully someone was just target shooting. Even then most people can't hit anything rapid firing so no idea why they do it other than feel good operator cool guy crud. But...
I agree but where did we get up to 25-30 rounds? Granted any rounds blindly into brush is bad. Does anyone have any factual info on this or is it all hearsay?

I hunt almost exclusively with an AR15 these days. But that doesn't mean it's automatic. It's very common to hunt with an AR15 these days. Just a semi auto rifle like any other semi auto out there.

Mountain Lion Screaming
The heal marks on a track are the real for sure tell tale. Cats have 3 apex humps at the rear with 2 at the front on the heal where K9 only have 2 at the rear and 1 at the front of the heal pad. As stated above cats have retractable claws so you shouldn't see them but...
Now that I have good reception I figured I'd load a pic of my last out of state hunt. This is at the ranch we work in Texas. Those were just the last batch of pigs from that night. The little ones are tasty.

Oh I'm aware but when we are getting on sounders of 10-30 pigs each stalk and hitting 5-6 sounders a night. We probably shoot 10-15 pigs a night. We don't have time to do all that. Gotta make a dent in the population (who am I kidding) or at least try to in order for the farmers to keep us...
Mountain Lion Screaming
The one animal in the areas I hunt that I am very afraid of because you won't see it coming.

Nice.
We usually just pull backstraps and leave the rest lie. But I haven't been fortunate enough to shoot 1 large pig and then butcher the whole thing out.

Back on here, pics from my texas hunt last season.
Good looking Texas deer. Where about were you? I hunt deer and work a ranch for pigs in Victoria area several times a year. Love it out there.
