What is the brand? I was told they had lead free, drove down there and what they said was lead free was just Remington Eley match grade which are not lead free. I told them they were mistaken but I don't think it sunk in.
I'm considering an RTIC cooler. Half the price of Yeti but appears to be similarly made. They are a direct to consumer company. No retailer in the middle.
Lost two brand new Wildgame Innovations blade cameras ($50 on sale at Midway) I couldn't afford to drop a bunch on more cameras. However on ilovesprig's tip that Walmart has some great close outs on occasion, I found these Bushnell cameras for $25 but you have to go in the store...
I'm glad you guys like these as much as we did. I have sent the images along with the story to wildgame innovations. Not because I'm looking for replacements, but because I work in R&D and I'm hoping their R&D team will get a kick out of it. Also forwarded to SBC fire.
I know one of the investigators assigned to finding the cause of the fire. I'll ask if he knows who to contact about that. Still can't believe how fast it came through.
Although my trail cam did not survive the blue cut fire, the SD card did. This is what it captured. Check out the time to get an idea of just how fast this fire was moving...
I guess we needed more of a challenge. Here's what that spot looks like today.
And here's what my new game cameras look like.
By the way, you were right about cats...

I figured talking by PM would be better than blasting out details on the forum.
I definitely don't want to rely on the cameras, but seemed like a logical way to confirm there are actually deer currently in the area. I have not found any scat, and I can not determine a food source although I...
The boy and I finally got out last weekend to put out our new trail cams. I checked them today and camera 1 took about a dozen pictures of a long piece of grass blowing right in front of the sensor. Camera 2 took just one picture...
Frankly, I never thought we'd get this far our first year...
So, in the summer months what's a good rule of thumb on how long between the kill and dressing the rabbit? Also, wondering about best methods for dispatching a wounded rabbit? I tried one hand around the neck and a quick jerk to the back legs but wasn't as quick as I would have liked.
Fortunately the spot I'm looking at is not far from home. So I'll probably check on them after a week just to make sure I'm not getting a lot of false triggers. If they are effective for me I think I'll invest in better ones next year and reserve these for higher risk spots. I'm pretty...
