I found a spot where there were no other hunters and plenty of morning dove feeding...decoys were out steel shells loaded...2nd shot, dove falls...and BAM...shotgun jams to the point where I have to send it in...metal shaving from machining issue...Damn!!!!! So, here's my 10mins of hunting...

Thanks ilovesprig! I figured as much...but man, what a disappointment from the 60s until now... I scouted there today and was surprised by the number of dove I saw feedings. They had just plowed...momma's and their babies were all around. No signs of Quail.

Yes, it's true... I'm hoping there is an expert out there who has done this successfully and is willing to offer any suggestions. I love to hunt quail, but always had a friends dog for pointing. Thanks!
