Jason, no need to really clean blood off, Dawn soap works wonders. As far as storing it in he freezer I like to see the bird wrapped in two freezer zip lock bags and tuck the head under a wing. If you can ,squeeze as much air out of the bags as you can and that's it.- bgundog35
