Thanks guys! Glad to know I'm looking in the right areas. No these pics are from Mount Baldy , I think it's real name is San Antonio or something like that. Big hiking area one valley over from the ski resort. Lot's of foot traffic. Just using it as an example of other areas I'm scouting...

Obviously Baldy is not a good site with all the traffic but I thought the photos are representative of other areas I'm scouting.

Curious if anyone uses snake boots or gators in these hunt areas? If so, what is your preferred brand/make/model? I've been coming across several snakes on hiking paths and thinking it might be a wise investment? Especially if going trail blazing through chaparral?
