In October this year my 10y/o and I are going on a combo bull and cow elk hunt in Utah. If our bull is worth mounting (any size might be, being it will be my first bull) how do I plan it? What costs am I looking at? Should we find a taxidermist here in CA or Utah, I guess what I'm asking is...

I'm in Temecula and don't really care for the gun shop that deals with archery. I'm more interested in the accessories that go on the bow, so I can start geeking out with my research.

I wanted to apply for an antelope tag in Wyoming, Nevada, and maybe one other (not sure) just to up my odds of getting drawn for one. Do I have to pay for an out of state license for each to apply?

I was wondering if I wanted to apply for tags in multiple states, do I need to pay for licenses as an out of state resident? Or how does it work, if I don't draw the tag, do I get refunds? Curious how people afford to try to plan a hunt.

Thanks guys, I don't take any offense. The spot I wanted to hike around has more trees and not as much manzanita and such (still thick, but different). It would be easier to get to a good vantage point by hiking through it, but am not sure if that would be the best route.
