Took the dog and family for a walk and couldn’t get but 20 yards from my house and saw these in the neighbors yard. This is here in valley center. I’m hoping all these local birds I’ve been seeing are an omen for me and when I get to public land hunting next couple of weeks!!!

Did some scouting today. Saw 4 hens no toms or jakes but presume they are close to them. I need to head out to same place at dawn to try a hike in before fly down. Over all I’m optimistic. Also found some nice BLM land near by for target practice.
