Even as a second choice I thought you could loose your points? I was thinking I would wait till the draw was over then get a leftover with a second deer tag.

Utah has been hitting CC's. I got drawn for a deer tag but not sure if its archery or rifle. Anyone else?

Took my boys out the other day but came up empty. I'm going to have to expand to other areas. My little one doesn't like the noise much :)

Thanks for the input. I have a Cabelas external frame pack now that I've used a few times on backpack hunts and hauled out some game but thinking of something more comfortable. I've been thinking of going to REI and I think they actually rent packs too. I've been looking at Eberlestock online...

I know this isan old thread but figured I'd post anyways. Thinking of getting a pack in hopes of being able to do some backpacking this summer. Any suggestions on one?

Re: 138 More days until Dove season That's a lot of birds. Dove hunting was big w/my dad and bro when I was younger but then it just kinda fell off as it got harder and harder to hunt locally then I got more into big game. My bro and I along with some friends went out for the opener last year...
