My first day ever hunting SoCal in D-16. Didn't see any critters, came across a few very nice hunters and had a nice time putting my jeep through a test on this insane road I ended up trying to drive home on.. Back at it next weekend! Good luck and be safe out there!

That's sweet! After I got my own I decided to personalize it.. For every kill I made I put a little skull and crossbones sticker on the stalk. People would always ask, what's up with all the stickers on your rifle? I can remember every animal that goes with every sticker.. Good luck out there!

I've heard the same thing at night. Sounded just like a woman screaming. I was 14 miles down a trail in a wilderness area.. No woman folk around.... The cat in that clip looks young and a bit skinny.. Wonder if it's freshly out on its own and a little hungry and lonely?.

I'll be out in D-16 this year with my bow. This is my first time ever hunting in CA. Have done some scouting and ready to go. Hoping for the best! Can't wait. I LOVE september!! I'll be out solo though as I haven't met any hunting friends down here yet, but I generally do better out by myself...

I haven't gutted a big game animal in a long time. I went to the gutless method and never looked back. Have used it on deer, antelope, caribou, moose. You name it and it's all good.

This is my first season hunting down here in SoCal, but I do know where I moved from ( WA state) some of the best deer hunting was on rainy days. Or like mentioned before, the second the rain stops for a little break, ya best be in your spot! I have some great rain gear so ill definitely be out...
