But I also wanted to see if anyone had hunted in the area [deer, pig, turkey, quail, etc.] and wondered if this trail reopening was a good thing or not [in relation to hunting the area]...

Having never used a range finder I like the theory of backing the combo, but the insane price has me wondering. I think I will end up going with two pieces rather then spending the extra cash.

Well I'm glad everyone was too busy to come out this morning. Turned out to be a bust, literally. I saw same movement about 40 yards off in the brush, I drew back and waited. Nothing came out so I started to let off on my bow and as I did the string popped off the cam and I was done for the day...

I have tried to find a class or school in So Cal [I live east of San Diego] but can't seem to find anything in my area and I was wondering if anyone knew of any or had been to any of the schools in the area. I have tried searching online for schools but can't seem to find anything close to me.
I recently started hunting and need advice on knives. I plan on hunting pigs for now, turkeys in the spring and then maybe deer next season.
Do I need at least two knives [1 for skinning, 1 for guting]?
Is there a decent "combo" knife out there?
Can I make my own?

I am new to bow hunting and would like to find another bow hunter or group to take down the elusive wild pigs and if possible turkeys. I know turkey season closes Sunday [12/9] but there is always spring season.
