I was down South of El Centro on Sunday and not very many birds there. I struggled to get 3 birds and and left around 10:00. I hear there are more birds up around Brawley but I don't want to drive that far if I don't have to ;D

Lots of birds up there. Google Chucker, Quail, Ridgrcrest. I'll bet you come up with a lot of areas around there.

Nice buck!!! When my kids were that size I use to give them each a hammer, and their job was to smack any ticks that came off while I cut it up. Good times :)

I always keep the ribs. They're really good smoked with hickory...or probably any other wood for that fact. There's not a lot of meat on them but it still tastes great.

I filled my D-16 tag yesterday. He's not a monster but he'll be meat in the freezer. The morning was getting late and I was starting the hike back to my truck. All of a sudden this guy runs out 140 yards in front of me and stops....bad move for him. Now my question. I'm getting a little older...
