A 130gr .270 is roughly double the recoil of a 100gr .243 round for the same rifle weight. Your wife will be more confident with the .243, just my 2 cents. My wife shoots 12gauges at birds, but flinches with my .270.

I have been very impressed with my Browning Strike Forces, best camera in that price range I have come across. These "command ops" seem to be a lower model, but at $50... I might just pick up a few :) (If it's half as good as the strike force, It will blow away any other camera in the $50...

All of my avianx's leaked from the sleeve the stake fits into after 2 seasons of using them. Easy enough to fix, but yeah... that's definitely a problem with them. Only real high quality decoy that's packable though (for out of state trips). The DSD's are hands down the best decoys you can buy...

Awesome birds! Congrats! I swear, I've had a few single hunts turn into doubles due to the other Tom jumping on his flopping buddy. Maybe the trick for call shy toms is to have a flopper decoy and when they hang up, you fire a shot in the air and make the decoy flop around LOL.
