You're sure you want to move back here? The PRK (Peoples Republic of Kalifornia) ain't what it used to be. Everyone I know is trying to get the hell out!
Nope. Not unless the same flaming liberals decide they're done getting eaten. But even then it won't fall to hunters. The state will bring in outside help, and us taxpayers will have to pay for it.
Nice!
Nice dude! My little man is still too small to take out (just turned two) but already likes to "help" dad with his hunting stuff and cleaning dad's guns. He'll be out with me someday!
Re: 53 More days until Dove season
What's the shot size and weight? I think that might be the only difference. I know I've bought them before and haven't really noticed it once shooting. Maybe you just need to seek out the Eurasians and use them for those big guys!
Sorry about your equipment Mergrath; that sucks big time! Time and effort lost.
But I think Matagi is right. They'll probably close that area down for "reforesting" purposes and put a two year hiatus on anyone hunting there. Major bummer for the Laguna hunters.
Just suck it up and spend the money. Easier to ask for forgiveness than it is permission dude. Remember that. My AR build is proof positive that that idea works. Plus it helps to stop by the flower stand and pick up a $5 bouquet every now and then...
Haha! I can vouch for my 8steeltown friend though. He was dragging ass after the last turkey hunt but since then he's been kicking ass getting ready for hunting season. I have to hand it to him. I've only been doing 12 oz curls. Lots of them...
Agreed. I've got a cheapo Simmons 3-9x40 on my Savage and I've never taken it beyond 6x when hunting. Target shooting out past 500 yards, yes I'll crank it to 9x, but under 6x would be best for almost anything you and Nick will shoot around your house. Field of view is huge when hunting coyotes...
At this point I'd stick to what you got and go for it. If you find out the hard way that you need a rifled barrel then do it then. Personally, I'd save that money for the hunt and go from there. Won't know til you try!
What was the yardage? If you're shooting out past 100 yards then a little side profiling won't be too bad. I'm not familiar with the copper slugs but if they're anything like the copper bullets, you're better off biting said bullet and sighting in with what you're going to shoot. I know they...
