    Is this deer poop? D5

Yep. This time of year a mature buck will have really goofed up eating patern due to the rut. I am happy when I see that. Not sleeping, not eating regularly, high anxiety all this messes his shit up. If its fresh start looking for more clues to his where abouts.

And Again,There is One Less Turkey in the East County.

Had a few gobbling at gray light, and a little while later I could see 2 Toms with hens so I thought I would lay low for a while. Calling every 45 minutes or so . 2 hours later i had these two guys show up about 300 yards down in front of me in the meadow . 15 or 20 minutes later I had them...

Archery hunters allowed to carry firearms (WITH CCW)

It’s not that I’m scared of getting shot myself. I just think archery only tag should be left archery only. I think if you want to carry a gun for your protection while bow hunting then you should be bow hunting with a general season tag. I might be wrong but I believe you can bow hunt with...

Archery hunters allowed to carry firearms (WITH CCW)

Sorry longbow. I don’t mean to be so harsh about it. I just feel very strongly about it .we hunt small pieces of property in SoCal and it’s not about gun control it’s about self-control, and so many hunters don’t have that and you hear stories of people setting up 50 yards from somebody else’s...

Archery hunters allowed to carry firearms (WITH CCW)

Your second amendment rights and commonsense hunting regulations have nothing to do with each other. And just curious ,if you could carry A side arm while archery only hunting what would be your Hand gun of choice and what scope would you put on it?

Archery hunters allowed to carry firearms (WITH CCW)

I vote no to fireaams with a archery only tag. I hunt in and close to the most mountain lion infested areas of SoCal. Other then trail cam pics I have never seen or had a problem while hunting. I spend a good amount of time in the dark on the same trails as the cats. Some times I get images on...

    Godspeed Sluester

Your right Bill!!! Mikey was a one of a kind, who took the time to stop and pass along his skills and tricks and even some of his secrets to the next guy. He loved getting kids into hunting and camping. He even raised an Eagle Scout. He is missed! And I am crushed!!!
