Very lite crowd at el cap this morning, we have been wrecking the bass on hard jerk baits the last few weeks, today not a fish. Thin senko up shallow was it, 30 plus fish for the two of us. Turkeys at the park , a fox along the shore, and lots of deer. .

We were done at 7:15 . 15 morning dove and 15 Eurasian, walking into our spot 100 plus birds fly out of the trees. I guess we know where they sleep. .

6"-10" fish, chasing shad. mixed in with 2-3 lb fish. lots of bait in the water temp 84 degrees. the lake is up , looks to be doing well , by all the small fish.

I fished there Friday 8/21 and today , both days 20 plus fish , but there small. Chasing shad, lots of fun, just not the quality. Nothing picture worthy. Hard jerk bait was the man.

the beauty of being young, heat is no problem. great kids. they will remember that trip for ever. I wish that heat didn't kick my butt, I'm fishing el cap Monday. leaving early.

I just read a article in western outdoors about imperial valley dove opener. Imperial valley is asking the state to cancel dove season, due to covid 19 un controlled in the valley. Mono and inyo counties did the same with trout opener. Anyone know more about this.?

Soak your fillets in saltwater for a couple hours, it leaches the blood out. They taste very good, mc cormicks beer batter, or fish n chips.

Early start went to the trees in the back for top water, lots of breakers all 8-12” fish caught a bunch of them, fished the coves and points from tree hole to boulder bay. 31 fish total 5” thin senko and 3” salt and pepper kalins grub fished weightless and swim it back.best one 3.5 lover.
