    "Hello KITTY"

No shortage of lions in the places I have hunted this year. Have a group of 3 (mom and what looks like 1 1/2 or 2 year olds) that show up frequently.

    D16 Filled

Well done Jamie. Might want to ask Santa for a cart you can stash down there. I didn't hunt yesterday but my buddy did at our normal spot. In case he didn't tell you, he arrowed a nice forky at 7am.

    Laguna AO tag question?

Yes. The AO tag is good during D16. Laguna Rec is bow only and AO tag is valid.

Congrats Jamie. Remember, you can always check just down the road at the other spot you like to walk and if we are there we can help.

    D16 tag filled...Finally.

It took a few years but I finally got to fill a public land tag in San Diego. He's not the biggest buck I have seen but he is hanging in the garage and will be at the butcher tomorrow morning. I took him with a bow at 17 yards right at sunset. Now it's time to fill that A22 tag. .

    RUT....

Seeing the same thing. I arrowed a small buck tonight but he was solo as well. Had does in the area but no bucks following.

    One less HSUS Supporter

Everyone that knows me knows that I am a hunter. I have no problem talking about it but I don’t force my views on anyone. Earlier this week at work someone read or heard something about the Fish and Game Board and ask me what I thought. Well that conversation led to me making mention of Humane...

    Thieving Foxes

Like a lot of you I hunt public land. If you hunt it long enough chances are something of yours is going to come up missing. I lost a camera last year and of course I though some passerby snatched it up. Yesterday another camera of mine was not where I placed it. After looking for signs of...

    Grizzly chasing a Bison

This is why I always have a camera with me. You just never know what might happen. This guy got 16 photos of a grizzly chasing a bison down the road. From the looks of the bison the bear got a hold of him at some point...

    Trail cam delay setting????

Sounds like the D5 model settings. The numbers represent the time that will go by between each picture taken. The lowest you can go is 1 minute. After a picture is taken the camera will not shoot again until that amount of time has passed regardless of what walks in front of it.

    Mountain Lion Attack

A kid was attacked on Sunday in northern CA. The report says that he survived and will recover. I haven't seen one in person here is San Diego but we are getting plenty on camera. Be careful out there. http://www.cbs8.com/story/26470570/mountain-lion-attacks-6-year-old-california-boy

    PC Tablets & Game Cameras

I use a net book to download my trail cam pics to. There are lots of ways to do it but I use a USB SD-Card Reader. You can get them at Target or Wal-Mart for around $5. Take the card from the camera and slot it in one end and plug into your laptop USB port and copy the file over.

    License Question

You can purchase a 2014/2015 license when you log into the online system and select your tags for 2014/2015 at the same time. Shouldn't have to buy this years but your hunter education number must be listed before you can buy. Otherwise just go to a local retailer with your card and do it in...
