When I fish over rocks with a weight on bottom, I get hung up. I know some guys use lighter line on that bottom section, or otherwise contrive a 'weak link' there, so the weight can break off easily and you can get the rest of the rig back. I would think the thinner (torpedo) weight would help...

Good advice. Hunted dark to dark today. Could have filled 2 doe tags. Still not seeing any bucks. A guy walked into the draw below my hill. Waved at me through the binos and walked a full circle around the hill over the next 2 hours. Thanks bro, public land hunting at its best.

Update: I hunted 6 of the first 9 days of the season. Took off yesterday and today to make some $$$. I have been sitting up high glassing huge valleys, washes, and adjacent hills. Mostly at sunrise, but also a few sunsets. Since opening sunday (saw two bucks fighting at 2 miles) I've seen lots...
