alrighty...been sick for a bit and sorta behind on my reports...hunted the last week of D11 up the angeles highway....found a nice little honey hole...water..food and cover...during the 2 days i hunted i saw 14 does all within bow range...no bucks tho..i am gonna hit it hard with my A31 tag when...

also if you need to use the "bathroom" in the woods...make sure your gun or bow is a good distance away from you...deer never show up while you are relieving yourself.....

3 others and i had our stands stolen from the barley flats area a few years ago....they left candy wrappers and beer cans in place of them...we believe it was a group of Poachers that we actually had arrested for shooting does out of season later in the year...one of our stands was in there...

just wondering how some of you see so many deer...i have hunted hard the past 5 weeks in D11 and finally just saw a few doe today, the last day of the season...sorta frustrating...reading some of the stories of others seeing multiple bucks each day and i am just scratching my head trying to...

understandable...if was seeing alot of deer i would hold off also....but the way my season has been,,,he would of been all done...!!!! Goodluck..find the monster..!!!

unfortunately i don`t have the ability to pass on a deer....my mind says pass but my finger says fire...!!!

went out this morning to a spot i have had luck at in the past....got to a high ridge and glassed for about 2 hrs nothing...alot of sign tho..worked a few more ridges also saw nothing...Man..this year is a tough one for me..4 weeks of hunting and i have not even seen a deer...1 week to go...

holy cow...you saw more deer in one morning than i have seen in three years...!!!!

went out saturday morning to the chilao area of D11 with my 79 yr old hunting buddy..very high winds were blowing everything around but still decided to head into the woods..drove up a dirt sevice road to get to higher grounds so we could glass around..hunted there till about 10am..didn`t see...

ok went back to d11 this past weekend...hunted the chilao flats area...man alot of that poodle dog bush up there..saw some does then decided to hunt alittle lower down the road to avoid the PDB...i was told it only grows above 5000 feet...found a great spot and i am looking forward to hunting it...

went up to the sulfur springs area of d11 yesterday...alot of track and a ton of mountain quail....but no sightings of deer...gonna hit it up on Sat. again hopefully with better luck if my gouty big toe allows me :P

yes...there where mountain quail all over the place..up around the lookout tower on frazier mt.
