    Checking out SJWA

    Went out to San Jac again today since I had somewhere to be this afternoon. Saw nothing again. Think I'm going to try IV once dove opens up again. On the bright side I got in a good hike and met a new hunting partner.

    El Centro weekend #2

    T-storms killed us at San Jac. We only saw one bird. I'm going to try it out again this weekend. Next year we're heading south and getting a hotel for opener. So far my first year has been a bust.

    Awwwww it's hot going at it again

    We tried a little dove at San Jac Saturday and the t-storms killed it. Only saw one bird within our area. After striking out we headed to Palomar Mountain off the 76 to hike around and scout for pigs. We didn't see anything. We ran in to several hunting parties, none of which had seen a thing...

    .308 ammo

    Nothing un-obvious I can think of. I usually don't start thinking about using the heavier bullets until shooting long distances 600+ yards. The 150ish shout be great for yotes.
