We named my son's deer Tommy Pickles, he was a baby buck.

I plan to. This is the first year in about 5 years that I decided not to get an A31 tag, mostly because I wanted to stop wasting my time and missing most of the quail season. As soon as my son's J11 season are done we will make the shift to birds, with Chukar on the must-do list this year.

I need to get into Chukar hunting. I've been a couple of times (never shot at anything), but living in Apple Valley I feel like I'm doing a disservice to the sport being so close to some good spots and not getting out there more often.

The whole group is assigned a single random number and entered into the draw based on that single random number. For example, if you have 4 party members you are not entered in the drawing 4 times. Your whole party is entered into the drawing once, as a group of 4. And it isn't as much a draw...

For D14? I’ve applied for D14 as my second choice for the last 3 years and haven’t drawn. There are definitely more people putting in for D14 than there are tags available. Are the leftovers that you are talking about something that happens after the draw when people return their tags?

The more points I get (only 3 so far) the more I realize I am never going to get D14 again until I am willing to burn these points. Give me 20 more years and I might just be in the same boat as that guy and finally say "F it".
