Thanks Ghost! And thanks to everyone else that shared all of the good info. I am going to do some more research and see if i can get a hold of some of these bags so I can do a legit field demo and comparison video for everyone to see. I will make a follow up post with the results. Until then...
At least you guys are getting rain. It is so hot in Castaic and the drought is killing us. The fishing sucks because the lake has lost over 100ft of water, and the hunting sucks because there is no water. I havent even seen Rattle Snakes lately ???
OOPS!! I missed one! Here is the link for the Alps Outdoors "Traverse EPS" By the way you can pick up this pack for about $100-$130

Ok so i admit it, I'm a freakin gear head! I research a lot of different products and I always try to window shop for certain things that i feel would benefit me for certain situations. This thread will be for "Meat Hauler" packs designed for back country hunters. Do you own a meat hauler type...
Ok guys, here is the link for the jacket. Like I said, you really can't go wrong. Just please blow this thread up!! I want other peoples input on good cold weather jackets!! Come on guys! Make this a good read, post stuff...
its a pretty great jacket, I think I might take some pics and post them here when I get some time later, or I might throw the link in here for you guys to check out.
Ok so I know it is hot as hell outside, but one can never be too prepared. Especially with winter around the corner. On my way up to my cabin in Big Bear last winter, I stopped in BassPro in Rancho and picked up the "Redhead C.W.S. (Cold Weather System) Parka for $189.99. This is one hell of...
My roommate bought all of the stuff, I don't think it was too pricey, just hit up midwayusa.com and they have a lot of really great deals. Just do some research and see what other ppl load for your same gun/caliber. I am brand new to reloading but I learned it quick and I can already see the...
It is so worth it. ESP when you save your brass!!! I think right now I'm averaging 0.20-0.35 cents per round for .223 right now and I'm shooting good ammo. Hornady match for target as well as V-MAX, and Barnes TSX for hunting. Still trying to dial in my .270
You could save a heck of a lot more if you reload. Nothing beats the price and the consistancy. Out of all of the shelf ammo I see that is "no lead", the stuff I load for both target and hunting is way cheaper and as long as you get the measurements right and the recipe down you can create one...
Thanks man! Yea I'm definitely going to hit up those spots in Acton again this fall, I think I might wait for some rain first to scatter all of the little mice out of their holes, then I'll head out.
Hey guys! I'm new to this forum and somewhat new to hunting. As far as hunting is concerned, I'm really only interested in Coyote right now and I'll eventually move on to something else. I currently live in Castaic, CA over by Six Flags Magic Mountain and this is right at the edge of the...
