    Game camera recommendations???

Ok so my Big Bear cabin is right against the San Bernadino NF, and I have scouted a few cool spots up in the mountains. I was thinking of buying a couple of game cameras to set up in those areas but I do not know whats good. I don't want to break the bank, so does anyone have any...

    Ready to Hunt

Raspy coaxer, cottontail distress. just make sure you buy decent brands. people will argue and say they all sound the same but I'll tell you that's crap. You may end up buying 3 cottontail calls before you actually find one that makes YOU sound like a dying rabbit. mouth calls are all human...

    Bow recommendations??

It's been a while since I've shot a bow. I'm looking at purchasing a 2015 PSE stinger x. It's supposedly a very good bow with lots of adjustability for both the draw length and poundage. The few shops I've called have very few in stock and most online retailers have lots of back orders for...

    Modern technology?

Sorry guys, I had a blonde moment. Discovered something way more bad ass. On the mark-up menu, there is a "symbols" tab that has tons of different icons for marking certain things. Mark stands, bait stations, closed/open roads, fishing holes, camp sites. ANYTHING!!

    Modern technology?

its a very simple process. It does not have pre-loaded markers, so you just make them. on Onxmaps go to the mark-up menu, then select point, color, size, then under name it automatically fills the text bar with time and date. Just erase the text, type whatever you want, (bait station...

    Modern technology?

Yes and It's amazing. download Onxmaps for iPhone or Android. It works really well on my Galaxy Note 4 because that phone has a stand alone GPS, so I literally do not need any cell service. the app is free but it is only free for a one week trial. It will cost you $35 for the California...

    Question for all

I hunt in D11 a lot, those gates are strictly for motor vehicles. you can absolutely walk on them. Just be sure to have an adventure pass for wherever you ditch the vehicle, most forest cops i run into say that it isn't needed, but i never risk it. I usually leave a note on the dash board also

    Does Anyone Hunt Sawmill Mountain?

I'm not sure if Sawmill is Angeles or Los Padres forest, i'll check on that. Talk to the forest service and call the local ranger station. Hunting for me has been tough because the forests have been closed to hunting for the last couple of years due to the power house and station fires. I...

    San Bernardino National Forest

I live in LA county (D11) but I have a cabin in Big Bear Lake (D14) and have been scouting for possible spots. The trick with D14 is the fact that there are a lot hiking and biking trails. Plus you have the PCT that runs through the ridge lines out there. For me personally, when I'm on a day...

Thanks Centermass, Ghost, that map is awesome! I feel like I have seen it before, but its a bit out of date (1994), still a damn good reference. Do you know what websites I can browse to find a more up to date shooting map? If it exists...
