    Backyard buck !

Opps, missed that. Must be too tired from all the hours in the tree stands this passed week. Okay, so its in Lakeside. He's bound to cross into legal archery land at some point. Might be worth a peak for the sneaky bow hunter type.

    Backyard buck !

Yes he is. I'm thinking that's Fallbrook, Valley Center or possibly Olivenhein in the background there. The trees look very familiar. That's legal in there too. Maybe we do a search on where Loyd lives and bribe one of his neighbors to give us access?

    Backyard buck !

You know you're gonna smoke everyone in the club LP. Love seeing that grey muzzle on a SD buck! Anybody recognize the scenery in the background? Maybe he strays onto legal turf occasionally? Love the question: "not sure what kind of deer this is?" Ahhh, a what'da ya thik .... a...

    LOCAL BUCKS

LP, We're A22 hunters, we have the second half of the season ahead of us. That's my favorite time of year to hunt anyways. I went out yesterday afternoon and didn't see one single deer. Temps were back up to 88 degrees. I'm not going back out until the cool off on Saturday.

    LOCAL BUCKS

I haven't killed a buck since 2008. Skinned plenty the last two years though. Maybe I'm getting used to tag soup. I wonder if the new automated tags taste better than the old style paper?

    LOCAL BUCKS

After seeing a monster buck a week and a half ago nothing else will do. I'm passing on every buck I see. A nice tall forky under my tree stand...No. Maybe a small 3x4 eatting acorn...not gonna cut it. What I am looking for is the guy who made these tracks last Thursday.

    Local hog

Glad to hear there are a growing number of hogs out there. Loved your story. I had a boar charge me up in Santa Margartita a few years back. He came to within 20' before my third round dropped him. I guess that's why they call them the poor man's grizzly bear. Congrats on your pig. That...
