Re: ((((Big ))))) Local Buck Down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Outstanding!!!!
That is a magnificent buck. Couldn't go to a more deserving hunter as you have been after him for so long. I doubt anyone will be able to top this buck.
Prediction: Winner! Unless Lungpopper can pull a rabbit out of...
I posted this as a reply on another thread and BuckHunter asked me to move it up here. (BTW - My mother told me never to talk about politics or religion, but I never was a very good listener.)
From Santiago's "Suggestions Please" thread:
Personally I'd like to hear more about the local...
Not always NBK. My oldest daughter took at 26 lb. tom with a 12" beard several years ago. We took it in to L&O and I was disappointed. I paid a lot more to get the best and didn't get it. My two muley shoulder mounts from them are top notch. Are they worth $300 more than Mike's mounts...
Ridge lines: Yes, stay up high and glass down with a spotting scope...if you have one. Do not drop into the canyon until you spot a buck. You need to take avantage of the view and let your optics do the hiking initially. During the day look for bedded bucks in the shade. Please see the...

2. Both are very sensitive to motion but whitetails more so.
3. When you're...

Here's a...
Buy the way...this buck was killed in the same spot where my trail camera got the pic of the lion back in August. Its mostly steep hills and tall oaks in that spot so the bucks don't get as much sunlight on their horns.
TB,
I wish it were true. We seem to have a ton of deer that fall a little short of mega buck status. There's always 2 or 3 out there every year but they usually don't show themselves until late in the rut and don't like to come out in the daylight much either.
