With no Henshaw, I've been hunting our 2 wildlife areas, Salton Sea, and one of the best clubs in the IV...For the most part, it sounds like it's been tough for guys thru out the west...Pray for rain....:heart: ps...I miss "The Shaw"............... :worried:

I would, but baby sitting my daughters dogs...I may have a couple of good friends that are excellent fowlers that may be interested...... :blush:

John, Flip a coin...That average included a 100 snows...The duck average was 1.9...Some of the best fowlers I know did poorly............. :worried: ps...It doesn't take much to beat the average at San J with a .71.........;)

WG, Every hunt is a learning experience...Next time bring some comfort foods for the mornings (donuts, cookies, etc.)...They always raise my spirits and the sugar high is always a plus.......... :yum ps...It is amazing animals of this size can disappear so easily...........;)

Otto and I headed to the Imperial Valley after scouting Henshaw Thursday morning (still nothin')...Started at a friends duck club that afternoon and had a good shoot...Boy, if we could only shoot an 1/2 after sundown...Gadwalls and mallards were boat loading in...We then scouted the shrinking...

Most our ducks come via Salt Lake, but many come from Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and NoCal...They lost almost a 100,000 ducks to avian botulism at Tule Lake this summer/fall...I'm sure many of our (Wister & San J) ducks were included (per banding data).............. :skull: Lake Henshaw is...
