    Way back in the 90's, when the switch to steel shot occurred, guy would go out to a blind and bury well sealed bags of lead shells and even buckshot for geese at Wister.

    Have not been there since the 90's. As with all new situations, try to be near the center area of ponds and avoid being on the edges of the property.

    The staff is not always helpful, so use your own judgement. In general, try to stay in the middle of a group of blinds and avoid the outside edges. Shoot everything that looks like a duck in the first 30 mins because the birds settle down quickly after that.

    Not sure there is enough deep water anymore at Wister. Did not see any boats there last year. Most ponds are knee deep.
