Not a lot of duck hunting in The Rocky Mountains but the Honker Hunting is good. Matt shot this huge bird on the South Platte River on January 17th. 11 degrees when we set up. We miss all our friends at Wister!! We are heading to Kansas next month for the Spring Goose Conservation Hunt!

Nice to hear Wister is still a viable waterfowl area. I left CA five years ago but Wister was part of my growing up in the 1960’s!

I wish a small, plastic grocery bag would work! Hard to fit in a roll of carpeting, a tule seat and six empty boxes of shells! And yes, I have found ALL of that at a blind spot at Wister! Heck, I even found two car 'floor mats' in a blind, I guess they really hated the mud!!!

We also bring out a couple of Yard Trash Bags to not only haul our trash out, but do a little bit of Blind Area Clean Up as well!
