Man, that’s a bummer D14 was my other tag gotta start looking for a backup. Do you know where I can look for Cleveland national Forest closures once they updated?
Have they closed the entire zone in the past due to fires? I Did most of my scouting in D15 where it didn’t get burned so I’m trying to figure out if I should look into another zone or see if exchanging a tag is possible in the event they close it.
as of right now the spot is 5 miles away and opposite direction of the wind is blowing so I’m crossing my fingers. Just hoping they don’t shut down the area if it gets close to the spot.
This will be my first year hunting D15. Had a good spot picked out so I’m hoping it doesn’t get destroyed. How has the forest service handled closures and hunting season in the past after a season like this?
Been seeing quite a good amount of rattlesnakes recently. I picked up a pair of fairly basic snake gaiters from bass pro but they feel a bit chintzy and uncomfortable. Any recommendations on some quality ones?
Oh okay I see. No I never have, I’m still new to hunting so I was going to give rifle season a shot before I moved onto any bow hunting. It could be something I would be interested in once I have some more experience.
Oh okay I might do that. I think I found another way in there but I’ll probably stop by the ranger station in person this week and see if I could get any contact information.
I agreee I don’t want to risk it. I Called the ranger station and seemed like they were confused about the area I was asking about without a picture of it. Think I’ll just scrap the idea of scouting that area
Hello. I was wondering if there was anyone out there with experience in D15 that could I could dm and ask about access on a specific trail in an area I wanted to scout. It passes through a section of private property so I wanted to double check if that trail is okay to use and I am not able to...
I read this and called the ranger district and they told me the same thing but said that I was all good to ride the roads I asked them about, just not the trails, so I should be all set
